The Church is involved in community outreaches to provide for the needy and empower communities so that the name of the Lord Jesus Christ receives the glory. Through outreaches, the Church provides food parcels, clothing, bags of rice for the needy and the elderly. Selected needy students are supported with school and accommodation fees depending on their unique situation and the ability of the Church to provide. Many bereaved families have benefitted from food groceries as the scripture says “I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you brought Me together with yourselves, welcomed, entertained and lodged Me; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me with help and ministering care; I was in prison and you came to see Me (Matthew 25:35-36).
RCOLFAN carries out these outreaches imitating Jesus Christ the Head of the Church for when He saw the great multitudes; He was moved with compassion and healed the sick. He provided for the multitudes with five loaves and two fish. The Church provides assistance from very limited resources and with the increased support from the general membership and partnership involvement, these provisions can increase as well.
